Description |
|
Very
different from other options, this option adds more
challenge by starting from a very low point for trekking
uphill for most the way up to the top. However you will
have more chances for discovering unique way of life
of tribal peoples who are living their pure traditional
way in small and isolated hamlets and at the same time
passing through all type of primitive forests featuring
different elevation. |

ITINERARY |
|
|
Night
1: Take
overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai
Please, be ready at your hotel lobby at 20.00 for a short
transfer to Hanoi railways station for taking the overnight
train (first class 4 beds cabin with air-condition) which
arrive in Lao Cai city, near the Chinese border next morning. |

Highlights |
|
|
The
train arrives at Lao Cai station early at about 06.00,
meet your guide and driver as you check out and an hour
transfer uphill the Hoang Lien Son mountains to Sapa.
Great views of valleys and terraced rice fields! After
Breakfast your guide will show you around for a brief
introduction of this charming town. At the market, ethnic
minority people of different groups wearing their traditional
costumes made by themselves comes every day selling local
products includes vegetable, bamboo shoot, mushroom, medicinal
herbs and souvenirs…there are chances to get intact
and taking photos. Later you will follow the footsteps
uphill to the top of Ham Rong Mountain for over viewing
beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area, paying
visit to an orchard garden and a mini museum which tell
you a lot about ethnic minority people living in Sa Pa
and the northwest region. Later in the afternoon, you
may wish to drop in a local terraced café to enjoy
your self as the cloud comes and goes. |

2 // Sapa
// Cat Cat
Village //
Mount 2,300m Camp |
|
|
A
short drive from Sapa will take you to Cat Cat village
at the bottom of the valley at the foot of Fansipan. You’ll
walk through this H’mong village, passing by a waterfall
and then following the trail uphill. You will meet some
locals, mainly Black H’mong peoples who often spend
their days searching the forest near by their hamlets
for medicinal herbs, gathering mushroom, bamboo shoot…After
about 6 hours trekking mostly uphill, you will arrive
to the top of a mountain at 1,300m high where we settle
down for the first night. You may wander around the camp
base for exploring the nature or join in with the team
cooking and putting up the camp. |

Day
3 // Conquer
2,300m; 2,700m and 2,900m Mounts |
|
| |
Today
you will trek through the thick forest of the well protected
forest, deep yourselves in immense nature. Most of the
trek goes uphill and then gradually you will conquer the
2,300m high Mountain, then 2,700m, continue all the way
up to 2,900m. From here the trail will descends down to
2,600m mount, where we station for the second night. |

Day
4 // Reach
The Summit, Great Success! |
|
| |
Waking
up, you will see that the summit is quite close to your
camp. However it is the hardest part of your adventure.
3 hours struggling uphill along steep and slippery trail
you will reach the summit, the roof top of Indochina.
At 3,413m above sea level great view off all sides opens
wide under your feet. You’ll spend an hour here,
taking photos, enjoying your feeling of success, you will
take the way down which is less hard but still a big challenge.
Tonight we camp again at 2,900m mount. |

5 // Tram
Ton Pass //
Sapa |
|
| |
The
trek today is much easier in comparison with 3 days before
and the more you walk, the better it get. The whole morning
through a wild area you may meet some Black H’mong
and their small hamlets again in the afternoon. Arriving
to Tram Ton Pass at about 4.00PM you will spend about
an hour here relaxing and enjoying breathtaking landscapes
of magnificent Fansipan for the last time before transfer
by car back to Sapa town. |

6 // Full

Overnight train back to Hanoi |

Today
is set at your leisure in Sapa but be kindly notice that
your hotel room is not booked for late check out. Pick
up and transfer down hill to Lao Cai for taking overnight
train to Hanoi. |
